Miner remanded on drug trafficking charge

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – five – year – old miner of First Alley, Wismar Linden was remanded to prison on a drug trafficking charge by Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Clive Hope pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that on August 2 at Lot 22 Wismar Linden, he had in his possession 155 grammes of cannabis-sativa (marijuana) for the purpose of trafficking.

The Prosecution facts were not revealed in Court and Police Prosecutor, Dinero Jones informed that the defendant has no prior antecedent.

The matter was transferred to the Linden Court for August 13.
