[www.inewsguyana.com] – Fifty – One – year old Rudolph Persaud was shot dead last night, while he was walking along a dam at Northern Hogg Island, Essequibo.
According to a police report, at about 21:00 hours, Persaud, of Hogg Island and Roy Williams, 21 years, of Port Kaituma, NWD, were walking along a dam at Northern Hogg Island when shots were discharged in their direction.
Persaud was hit to his abdomen and neck, while Williams was hit to his chest. They were taken to the Suddie Hospital where Persaud was pronounced dead on arrival and Williams was admitted for medical treatment.
A man and a woman have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
