The man was reportedly of unsound mind and lived alone in the small cottage house, a few doors down from his other relatives.

According to investigators, the man was a heavy drinker and smoker who would walk the streets and talk to himself.

His neighbors reported seeing him yesterday around 16:30 hours; saying he seemed intoxicated.

Later that evening they reportedly saw smoke and flames emanating from his house and altered his brother who attempted, with other residents, to form a brigade to save the man, however, it was too late.

Investigators suspect that the fire was started by a burning cigarette.
