Kaneville resident pleads guilty to marijuana possession

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – Seven – year – old Shawn Padmoore of Kaneville, East Bank Demerara was fined $5,000 for the possession of marijuana.

Padmoore pleaded guilty to the charge before Magistrate Fabayo Azore. The Court heard that on August 14 at Kaneville, he had in his possession four grammes of marijuana.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Deneshwer Maindranaught did not reveal further details in Court. Padmoore was also ordered to perform three months community service from August 22, at the Grove Police Station.

Thanks Mr. Fabayo Azore, I am pleased to see others are sharing the same idea I am sharing it will do these guys no good to imprison them with other harden prisoners for minor offence of 1- 5 grams ganja fine then and fix community service will help both the perpetrator and the state coffers. what would be good is to develop a work program to train such and have volunteers come in and teach them skills in carpentry, masonry etc. Or even help in cleaning and fixing up a few places.
