[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Police Force says that three youths who escaped custody at the La Grange Police station on Sunday, August 30 have been re-arrested after their families notified officers of their location.
According to a police press statement, just after 14:00hrs on Sunday it was discovered that three juveniles who were in custody and together in the same lock-ups at the La Grange Police Station had escaped.
Police stated that two of the juveniles were remanded having been charged for wounding, and the other had been taken into custody on Sunday, pending investigations into a report of alleged larceny.
The three youths were recaptured after they had gone to their respective homes and the police were informed by relatives. Investigations are being conducted into the circumstances surrounding their escape.
