Guyanese man, woman charged with cocaine possession in Barbados

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – Seven – year – old Guyanese nationals Dennis France and 23 year old Lloydanna Morris were arrested and charged with drug offences for cocaine in Barbados.

France, who lives in Rendezvous, Christ Church, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and acts preparatory for the trafficking of cocaine.

On Wednesday, February 04 police executed a search warrant at his residence and one kilo of cocaine was discovered and seized.

Morris was charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation. Police investigations revealed that she arrived in Barbados on Tuesday with the cocaine and later handed it to France.

France and Morris appeared separately in the Oistins Magistrates Court on Friday and both pleaded guilty to all their charges.

He was fined $60 000 forthwith on the charge of possession or two years in prison and was convicted, reprimanded and discharged (CRD) on the remaining charges.
