Guyanese Father, son busted with cocaine at CJIA

cocaine[] – A 41 – year – old father and his 19 – year – old son were busted with cocaine at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) this afternoon, [Friday, June 20].

An airport official confirmed that the duo was scheduled to board Caribbean Airlines (BW 526) direct flight to New York. iNews understands that the cocaine was detected in the handle of one of the luggage.

The exact amount of cocaine found could not be immediately verified. Police confirmed that the father was taken into custody. iNews will provide more information as it becomes available.
