Police Prosecutor Michael Grant told the Court that around 11:30 hrs on the day in question ranks from the Narcotics Branch were on patrol duty around Georgetown, when they received certain information about a boxing gym.

He said based on the information received, they visited the gym and saw the defendant sitting on the stage. With her consent, a search was carried out on her person and a haversack she was wearing when several white parcels containing the prohibited substance were found.

She was told of the offence and taken to the Narcotics Branch, Eve Leary where the illegal substance was weighed in her presence.
