Essequibo ‘hit and run’ leaves one injured

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 35 – year – old labourer who has been identified as ‘Patrick’ of Capoey Village, Essequibo Coast narrowly escaped death on Tuesday morning (December 10) after a speeding car collided with his bicycle.

According to reports, Patrick was riding along the roadway when a car which was at the time overtaking another vehicle knocked him off the bicycle he was riding and sped away.

Patrick, who is now hospitalized was picked up in an unconsciousness state and rushed to the Suddie Hospital. He suffered a fractured right arm along with other minor injuries about his body.

Speaking from his hospital bed, the labourer said after the car knocked him off his bicycle he lost consciousness and only woke up hours after in the hospital.
