[www.inewsguyana.com] – The kidnappers of Rajendra Singh have given his wife until today, Tuesday April 08 to pay the $25M ransom.

iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) understands that relatives were awaiting a telephone call from the kidnappers yesterday, but the wait was in vain.

The family is hoping that the perpetrators will make contact with them today so that the money can be dropped off and the businessman can return safely.

Singh, a spare parts auto dealer was kidnapped by two gunmen on Saturday evening (April 05) at his Foulis, East Coast Demerara business place. His car was found abandoned in Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara by his wife.

The kidnappers had initially demanded $50M from the family. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner (ag), Seelall Persaud has blasted the media for reporting on the issue, even though it was his Police Public Relations Officer that sent out a police statement on the incident.
