East Ruimveldt youth remanded on armed robbery charge

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – four – year old Aubrey Nakase Bobb of Lot 519 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, accused of robbery under arms was remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan on October 26.
It is alleged that on July 14, 2015 at Ruimveldt Public Road, being in company of another and being armed with a dangerous weapon that being a gun; he robbed Dimitri Drummond of one wallet containing US identification cards, one National I.D card, one Republic Bank card, one NIS card, $32,000 cash Guyana Currency and one Black Berry Phone valued $80,000; the total value of $112,000.
He pleaded not guilty to the offense and told  the court that he is innocent of the offence.
According to the accused, he is quite familiar with the virtual complainant and has known him for over 20 years, pointing out that Drummond has always implicated him in several robberies.
However, the Prosecution who highly objected to bail based on the seriousness and prevalence of the offence and the fact that a gun was used in the attack.  In this regard, Chief Magistrate McLennan Bobb to prison and he will make his next court appearance on November 02.
