[www.inewsguyana.com] – Popular radio personality Curtis Armstrong also known as DJ Casual has allegedly told investigators that he does not know the men with whom he had an argument with hence he is unable to identify them.
A close source to the investigation told iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) that Armstrong, who had a face-off with the men at the National Stadium and again in the parking lot, maintains that he is not familiar with them.
During the argument, Armstrong was shot twice. He is in a stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital. His friend, Sean Hinds was also shot in his thigh during the confrontation.
The Police source told iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) that despite the men leaving in a car after the shooting, no one reported being able to record the number plate.
Police had noted that at about 04:10h on Monday April 21, Armstrong, 34 years, of Guyhoc Park, Georgetown, was involved in an argument and subsequent scuffle with two men in the car park at the Providence Stadium.
Sean Hinds, 30 years, of North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, intervened and one of the two men pulled out a firearm and shot Curtis Armstrong to his abdomen and left hand, and Sean Hinds to his left foot, after which they escaped.
