Businessman shot during daring robbery

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A man conducting business at Patsan Trading Services on Sheriff Street, Georgetown was shot and robbed by two gunmen on Thursday afternoon (April 24).

Residents in the area told iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) that the businessman had just arrived at the business place at approximately 14:30hrs with his Canter Truck.

According to the residents, the gunmen arrived on a motorcycle, went into the store and held the businessman at gunpoint, during which they shot him twice, stole a quantity of cash and escaped.

iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) was informed that the businessman was rushed to a City Hospital. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
