British National remanded to prison for cocaine in Milk Tins

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – nine – year old British National, Orin Boodhi was today remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine- Beharry for the alleged trafficking of cocaine.

Boodhi of Atlantic Gardens, East Coast Demerara, denied the offence which alleged that on Friday, July 4 at Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri he had in his possession 7.170 kilogrammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Boodhi told the Court that he was previously sentenced to three years imprisonment on a similar charge. He was remanded to prison and the matter was transferred to Providence Court for July 21.

The cocaine was hidden in milk tins concealed in his luggage, when he attempted to board a Travel Span plane CJIA.
