[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 19:30h, yesterday June 17, on the No. 72 Village Public Road, Corentyne, and which resulted in the death of 29 – year – old Satesh Ramdas, No. 72 Village.
It is alleged that Satesh Ramdas was lying on the roadway and was run-over by a motor pick-up vehicle. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Skeldon Hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Only recently, three persons died and several others injured on the Corentyne after they were struck down by an alleged drunk driver.
