[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – year – old miner, Gladston George is nursing gunshot wounds to his body following a robbery on Friday night (January 30) at Middle Street, McDoom East Bank Demerara.
Police reports stated that at about 19:30 hrs, George of Agricola was on the roadway at Middle Street when he was attacked by four men.
Shots were discharged at the miner, hitting him to his body, after which the perpetrators took away his jewellery and $70,000 before escaping.
George has been admitted to hospital and investigations are continuing.
