80 persons arrested at Georgetown Car Parks

Minibus[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Police Force has within the past two weeks conducted operations at the car parks in Georgetown, during which some 80 persons were arrested for soliciting persons for public transportation.

So far, 65 of them have been placed before the Courts. 15 of them failed to appear and Arrest Warrants have been issued for them, while the other 50 matters are engaging the courts.

The operation will be continuing in efforts to bring some order at the car parks.

THE POLICE OFFICERS NEED TO BE AT THE 44 BUS PARK ON AFTERNOON TIME TO SEE THE THE BUSES ARE CHARGING DOUBLE THE FARE TO TAKE PASSENGERS HOME.THIS NEED TO STOP IMMEDIATELY CAUSE NO OTHER COUNTRY WILL TOLERATE SUCH IGNORANCE. AND PARENTS WHO CANT AFFORD SUCH ARE SUFFERING, I DONT AGREE WITH PASSENGERS HAVING TO GO THROUGHT SUCH BAD BEHAVIOUR JUST TO GET HOME.
