22 – year – old charged for assaulting Grandmother

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 22- year – old farmer of Caneville Avenue, East Bank Demerara, charged with threatening language and assault was placed on $30,000 bail by Magistrate Fabayo Azore on Wednesday, March 27.

Eustace Griffith pleaded not guilty to both charges, which alleged that on Sunday, March 23 at Caneville Avenue, he made use of threatening language to his grandmother Joan Hazel Handy.

Particulars of the other charge alleged that on the same day, at Caneville Avenue he unlawfully assaulted the elderly woman.

No facts were read in Court and the matter was transferred to Providence Magistrate’s Court for April 10.
