[www.inewsguyana.com] – The body of a teenager was found floating in the Canje Creek at about 07:00 hrs this morning (Tuesday, July 8) by a passerby.
The body was subsequently identified as that of 19 – year – old Dennis Williamson of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam.
According to information reaching iNews, the teen went swimming with friends on Sunday but never returned home. As a result, a search was launched.
The father of the dead teen believes his son may have drowned.
The body is currently at the New Amsterdam Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination.
Williamson leaves to mourn his mother, father and two younger brothers.
Investigations are ongoing.
