Taxi Driver shot during $1.5M robbery in Enmore

robbery[www.inewsguyana.com] – Investigations are being conducted into an armed robbery committed on taxi-driver Imran Khan of De Hoop, Mahaica, which occurred at about 11:30hrs today, Monday November 10, at Enmore, East Coast Demerara and during which he was shot and injured.

According to a police media release, investigations revealed that Khan was hired by a man who had travelled to a city bank to transact business and who had stopped at a business place at Enmore, leaving a bag in the vehicle.

While Khan was waiting in the vehicle, two men rode up on a motor cycle and one of them shot him to his left shoulder and took away the bag with $1.5M and escaped. Khan has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.

The trunk boys have stepped up the game, they shooting a lot of ppl, the big question is are we paying the police for nothing, we need to read some better news like the one on sheriff and duncan st ppl work for the money they have, and when these ppl going to the bank they must stop this lack of who is around them, too many cases like this time to wise up
