[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 31 – year – old man of Aruka River, North West District was yesterday held at gunpoint and robbed $4 million while travelling in a boat along the Baramani River.
Police say at about 18:30 hours four (4) men, one of whom was armed with a shotgun and another with a handgun, held up Rudolph Ashby.
Investigations have so far revealed that Ashby was in his boat in the Baramani River, enroute to his residence, when the men who were in a boat steered it into his boat causing damage to same.
The men then pointed their firearms at Ashby and robbed him of the cash and escaped. Investigations are continuing.
