[www.inewsguyana.com] – Nominated Members of Parliament for the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) arrived in the National Assembly for the seventh sitting of the 11th Parliament on Monday, August 17.
Led by Bharrat Jagdeo, the PPP members made their way into the National Assembly without much fanfare and pomp.
Jagdeo was officially sworn in as Opposition Leader and the other PPP members were sworn in as Parliamentarians.
Since the commencement of the 11th Parliament, the PPP has been absent from the House as a form of protest against the results of the May 11 General and Regional Elections.
The members include Former Public Service Minister Jennifer Westford, who is currently at the centre of a $600M probe being carried out by the Guyana Police Force and Former Health Minister Dr Bheri Ramsaran, who is currently before the courts for assaulting women rights activist, Sherlina Nageer.
Those in the front bench include, Irfaan Ali, Clement Rohee, Frank Anthony, Gail Teixeira, Anil Nandlall and Jagdeo. Among the back-benchers are, Ganga Persaud, Yvonne Pearson, Alistair Charlie and Dr Clive Jagan. [Jomo Paul]

Did anyone listen to Ramjattan speech? What an un-educated clown who disgrace Guyana to the face of the earth! That man should be thrown into a pit Latrin for his behavior! Calling the PPP “Ayo gon all go to jail fa thief thief”….Can someone send this guy back to kindergarten to learn ENGLISH please before he step foot into the national assembly again? Ramjattan and Moses are un-educated clowns who were never promoted within the PPP because Jagan did not see them qualified. Go on Dr. Jagdeo and members of the PPP and take up your seats in parliament. And yes the APNU /AFC are going to try an outshine you but sadly they don’t have the intellect and charisma to do do. We all know that your track record as president speaks for itself. I can also say that it was because of leadership, vision and insight that put Guyana back on the map. And it is also true that the only reason why the APNU / AFC can tout a 221 billion budget is because the inherited a financially sound economy – thanks to good fiscal management by the PPP government. And to all those individuals that sat on the fence durning election stay there and don’t fall – because of your hypocrisy and the ones that jumped that is why we have a government that is incompetent that is trying to survive of the strengths of the PPP. Hang tight 5 years will go by quickly before we go back to the polls and for a free and fair election this time.

Please do not refer to Bharrat Jagdeo as doctor. He only has an honorable doctorate that has been bestowed unto him. The title of doctor needs to be achieved. Please note that the late, great Nelson Mandela has been conferred with over 50 such honorable doctorates yet he never refers to himself as Dr.Nelson Mandela!!

This pack of conniving PPP crooks should not be allowed in the People’s Parliament for the simple reason Jagdeo, Ramsaran, Nandalalla and Westford should be cleared of all criminals activities before they enter. I think the Coalition have a great plan, but I think they are moving very slow to reprimand this crooks. Anyway I do hope they arrest them in Parliament and take them for trial.
