[www.inewsguyana.com]The Guyana Football Federation will appoint an Interim Management Committee to administer the sport in the mining town following the suspension of the Upper Demerara football association’s executive.

According to a source, the governing body will look to get their makeshift administrators as early as possible and before this coming week elapses.

Meanwhile, the executive members were slated to hold a discussion as to what they were going to do about the banning but it is unclear what was decided.

According to reports, the entire committee was suspended following the association’s decision to contest the final of the GT beer year end competition on the same date as another tournament.

President of the UDFA Sharma Solomon, along with GFF second Vice President Collie Hercules and several other members were suspended by GFF on Friday evening.

Solomon has been banned for 8 years while Hercules and the other executives will incur a five year penalty.
