[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are conducting investigations into a fatal accident that occurred at about 09:30h, today Sunday January 19, 2014, on the main road of the Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, that resulted in the death of pedestrian Jausia Persaud, 3 years, of Charity Housing Scheme.
Investigations have revealed that the child attempted to cross the road and was struck down by a motor lorry. He was pronounced DOA at the Charity Hospital. The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
