Cow carcass contaminates Lima Sands water supply

P1017430[www.inewsguyana.com] – The remains of dead cow in the Main Canal, Lima Sands Village, Essequibo Coast has contaminate this source of water for household needs.
Residents are calling on the authorities to transport water for drinking, washing and bathing as the main canal is the only source of water for the community. The village does not have portable water supply connections nor a functioning well.
Water is either harvested from rainfall of the Canal  The water situation has deteriorated for residents due to the on-going El Nino weather condition.
