BK, Continental Company pump millions into Guyana Festival

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two companies today (July 18) donated over $2 million towards the hosting of the upcoming Guyana Festival, which is slated for August 8-10 at the Guyana National Stadium,.

Continental company under its Sun Burst brand donated $1.2 million, while BK Group of companies donated $1 million.

Percival Boyce from Continental Company noted that they are excited to be associated with the event, which will not only showcase Guyana’s diversity but promote and provide additional markets for Guyanese products especially in the area of cooking produce.

Meanwhile, Sales & Marketing Director of BK Group of Companies Bryon Tiwarie explained that they are always looking to give back to society and especially happy it is towards the thriving tourism sector.

Guyana’s Tourism Minister (ag), Irfaan Ali expressed gratitude to the companies and again stated that Guyana is giving its people, products and services another platform to showcase itself in many facets.

Also at the handing over ceremony was owner of King’s Jewellery World, Looknauth Persaud who said he is hopeful they can show patrons more of their signature dishes in Guyana which he pointed out is not only pepper pot, cook up and duck curry.

Guyanese singer, Terry Gadraj was also at the event and will be releasing a number of new hits at the festival and is promoting the event heavily in New York.

A delegation of 50 persons from Florida will also be attending the event.
