[www.inewsguyana.com]Youth Football will take centre stage in the coming days as the Petra organization in collaboration with Milo stages their Under 20 Schools Football Championships.

The second edition of the tournament which was launched at Beepat General Store in Regent Street will feature 24 teams throughout Georgetown vying for top honors.

Petra Director Troy Mendonca said that the organization’s Primary interest is to resuscitate the sport at the youth level while attempting to add to what has already been learnt by some.

Also present at the ceremony on Friday, February 7, was Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Health Ministry, Trevor Thomas who lauded the efforts of the two companies in generating an interest in a healthy lifestyle.

The Second edition of the tournament will feature teams such as New Campbellville Secondary, Richard Ishmael Secondary, Queens College, Charlestown Secondary and others.
