In a statement issued recently, Jagdeo said now that the elections are over, the Party will ensure the communities where it won a majority are served in a manner that is responsive to their concerns without distinction for their race, political affiliation or religion.

Jagdeo added that the PPP/C will resume the task of preparing for the next General Elections, whenever they are held, by strengthening the Party, consolidating and broadening its support base, and continuing its work to include more young people and women in its efforts to move Guyana forward.

Moreover, Jagdeo noted that the latest numbers have indicated a massive victory for the PPP/C and in that regard, he thanked all of the Party’s supporters and the hundreds of volunteers who helped with the campaign.
