[www.inewsguyana.com] – Tiger Bay Football team emerged victorious last evening against the Police Club at the Triple Header bringing the series to 4 – 1.
The match which started 17:00hrs and concluded 18:30 hrs saw Tiger Bay Striker Rensford Coleridge scoring in the 20th minute; Tiger Bay had the lead 1-0, in the 21st minute after running approximately 70 meters from the opposite goal, Tiger Bay player Rawle Adams blast the ball past Police goal keeper as the team continued to lead 2-0.
In the 37th minute, Tiger Bay player Dion Alfred scored as the team continued to lead 3-1; the last and final goal was scored by Coleridge. He won the MVP award along with the first goal scorer award.
Trophies and prizes were given to both teams by Police ‘A’ Division Senior Superintendent Commander Clifton Hicken.
Kurt Dickson, the captain of the winning team said that he knew his team would win the series and he is looking forward to more games.
