[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 19 – year – old Neeraj Michael c/d ‘Buckie’ of Champagne, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara whose body was found in the Mahaicony River, at about 09:35 hours this morning with suspected chop wounds to his head.
Investigations have revealed that Michael was at a function at Hyde Park, Mahaicony River, yesterday (Tuesday November 25), when he had a misunderstanding with some persons.
He later left along with other persons in a boat during which it is suspected that he was chopped with a cutlass and thrown into the river.
A man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
