A resident of Parika, East Bank Essequibo whom police long suspected of trafficking in narcotics was nabbed in Bartica with 868 grams of cannabis.
According to the Police, at about 10:30hrs on Friday, acting on information, they arrested the 37-year-old suspect, a speedboat operator by profession, at First Avenue Bartica with a haversack containing the illegal substance.
He is being processed for court.
