Police annual Gymkhana thrills hundreds

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Yesterday the Guyana Police Force Sports Club Ground buzzed with activities as the police put on a show with their skills and talent while utilizing some of their resources including horses, dogs and musicians. The activity was the first of a series of annual Gymkhanas.

Among the activities which were featured yesterday included colours display, musical chairs, races, Tug-O-War, motor cycle stunts, self-defence and agility among others.

The various displays included ranks from the Traffic, Mounted, Canine, Police College, Criminal Investigation and Tactical Services Unit divisions of the force.

Ranks were drawn from all the various police division to take part in the signature event which usually starts at Force Headquarters before individual division hosts their own Gymkhanas. The event was chaired by comedian Linden Jones (Jumbie).

It was attended by several senior ranks and families of police men and women along with citizens who are friends of the police.
