[www.inewsguyana.com] – The National Paralympics Committee of Guyana (NPCG) will stage a day of sports for athletes who are differently abled on Sunday, March 9.
According to a release from the organization, they are gearing for a packed day of action at the Guyana Defence Force Ayangana’s Ground.
The event which commences from 09:30 is a one day affair and was postponed last month due to the inclement weather.
Meanwhile, Courts Guyana Incorporated has backed the initiative, throwing in sponsorship just days before the actual event.
The Company handed over a cheque worth some 742,248 to the organization on Tuesday.
During a presentation ceremony recently at the Company’s main street branch, Director of Marketing Molly Hassan handed over a cheque in excess of $700,000.
In collecting the cheque, treasurer of the NPCG Anand Mangru said that the donation comes in a timely manner as it will go towards ensuring the smooth running of the event.
