Eighty five house lots were allocated to families at Plantation Zeelugt on the West Coast of Demerara.

The recipients pulled their lot numbers yesterday during the restarted ‘one stop shop’ at the Ministry of Housing on Brickdam. Housing Minister Irfaan Ali says from last year’s One Stop Shop on the West Coast, a number of applications from middle income and single parent families qualified to receive these lots.

Ali says to date government has expended $95.7M to create this new housing scheme which will benefit some 383 persons. He says the Zeelugt phase-two project has benefitted from a 73.35 percent of government’s subsidy.
