New call center in Guyana to add 1500 jobs

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Teleperformance, a call center that is expected to open its doors in April of this year, is expected to add some 1500 jobs to Guyana’s economy.

This is according to a statement from the company which noted that “Teleperformance’s new multichannel contact center will enhance its ability to provide high-quality customer care, sales, and technical support solutions to its clients in English from a near shore location.”

The release noted that the facility is expected to staff more than 1,500 people when fully operational. 

Teleperformance Chief Executive Officer Jeff Balagna said that the company decided to expand into Guyana because “Guyana offers an educated workforce, robust infrastructure and a stable environment.”

“We are pleased to expand our operations into Georgetown, Guyana and build a strong relationship with the local community.  We look forward to welcoming many talented new employees to our growing team,” he said.

“Our passionate people deliver excellent customer experiences for some of the world’s leading brands,” said Balagna adding, “We are very excited to extend our service platform to Guyana.  Whenever you can bring 1,500 new jobs into a community it is a win for everyone.”
