[www.inewsguyana.com] – With the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) honouring past Berbice Test players and administrators as part of its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, two books on the history of Berbice cricket was released at the ceremony on Sunday.

Mortimer George is the Arthur of both books and was the former Secretary of the then Berbice Cricket Board of Control (BCBC).

With more than a quarter century of Berbice cricket documented, George zeroed in on past players who were unable to make the national side but talented enough to make the Berbice team regularly in the past.

In addition, the books also focus on work administrators did to ensure Berbice played a part in the affairs of Guyana’s cricket.

George who praised the current BCB administration for its aggressive approach to the game was also honored at the ceremony on Sunday.
