[www.inewsguyana.com] – Courts Furniture Store donated $275,000 yesterday to sponsor an annual golf tournament set to begin on Sunday at the Lusignan Golf Course, East Coast Demerara.
Pernell Cummings, Marketing Manager of Courts, noted that the sponsorship is a part of the store’s 21st anniversary and was pleased to be associated with the tournament.
President of the Lusignan Golf Club, David Mohamed revealed that the sponsorship was timely since the ground was in need of repair due to a big infestation while noting that it is just the start of other events to come in the final quarter of 2014.
Saturday’s tournament is the first of two as last Saturday’s tournament that was postponed will be held on Sunday.
