[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty – eight – year old Robert Charles of Middle Walk Victoria village, East Coast Demerara was robbed of $1M on Tuesday, January 27 by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Investigations revealed that Charles was driving motor canter GSS 1177 and had stopped at the traffic light at Sheriff Street and Rupert Craig Highway, when the perpetrators drove up on a motor cycle.
The pillion rider discharged a round shattering the windscreen and they relieved him of a haversack containing the cash and escaped.
Investigations are continuing.
