[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) in announcing thre appointment of d Magistrate Ann McLennan as Chief Magistrate said other appointments would soon be made.
McLennan had been acting in the position for the past several weeks following the resignation and advancement of Priya Sewnarine-Beharry to the post of Judge.
She joined the Magistracy in 2007 after having served in the Guyana Defence Force as a Lieutenant Colonel as commanding Officer in the Legal Department.
At present time the judiciary is said to be lacking in several key departments
