[www.inewsguyana.com] – Orville Hinds carted off the National Sport Commission’s 40 mile cycle race on Sunday, February 2 on the West Coast of Demerara.
With a time of one hour, 39mins and 59 second, Hinds blazed a trail to Parika in a race that featured some of better endurance riders in the country. He demoted to second Robin Persaud, Raul Leal (third), Geron Williams (fourth), Marlon Williams (fifth) and Chris Persaud (sixth).
Of the 51 that started the event, Hinds held off stiff challenges throughout the event. The event will be superseded by another 40 miler set for next Sunday which will be sponsored by R&R Enterprise. That event will take place at the same venue along the same route.
