[www.inewsguyana.com] – Things got heated on Monday, April 20 outside the Whim Magistrate’s Court where Former President Dr Bharrat Jagdeo was scheduled to make an appearance when a female social activist challenged Health Minister Dr Bheri Ramsaran to produce a valid reason for his presence at the Magistrate’s Court.

Dr Ramsaran, while speaking to a reporter outside the courthouse on Monday, April 20 was recorded hurling expletives at the woman, Sherlina Nageer who responded in kind to his remarks.

At this point, the Minister became irritated and began the verbal onslaught against the woman rights activist.

“Shut your mouth and get out my face…I am not entertaining you…You idiot, we have less maternity. I am a Candidate leading these people. We are going to win the elections and do better….Get the hell out of my face…. F off” said Dr Ramsaran.

He went on to tell the woman that she is “a little piece of shit…idiot,” and asked a nearby police officer to arrest the woman.

“I would slap her ass you know. Just for the fun. I can have some woman strip her right there,” the Minister said in his diatribe.

Efforts made by iNews to contact the Health Minister for a response to the issue proved futile.

  1. like I said in my earlier statement. This has nothing to do with the PNC/APU and the PPP. He is the minister of health. He should not be involved in any campaigning for any party. Yes I understand the PPP made him the health minister, but is job is to service the people of guyana. All you men in the forum how would you feel if someone talked to your mother like that? But at the sametime most of you think women are nothing

  2. People like u James can’t get nowhere in life and the truth is that’s y guyana is in the state it is cause people are failing to accept the wrong. Where on God early other than guyana can a minister behave like that and some people praising him for that, that’s y some of u when ever u visit other places and u see how things r done n it suppose to be done u don’t want to go back to your homeland. This situation have nothing to do with a political party he’s a minister that suppose to lead the people so y some of u folks talking abt pnc and all that crap

  3. Common sense is really lacking by the PNC! PNC Trevor seems to have little or very little common sense. I pose a dozen questions to Roy, Trevor, anthon6, Harry, Andrew, aka chedi, lookna, ishmael, guy and ana, trevis, pandit, baboo, shaun, etc.
I would like you PNC to answer to those questions below and then we will be able to have a proper discourse.

  4. It’s sad that this is the kind of persons guyana have in high positions. Those are the kind of men who beat the woman and turn around and say I only did it because you make me so mad,but you know I still love you. He had no right to talk to that woman like that. Her questions was on point. Your the health minister you don’t have sides. He should not be for the PPP or the PNC/APU. He is the health minister for every Guyanese.

  5. She have every right as a citizen to ask her question. That the reason why so many women arw abis3 and kill in guyana today bevause the leaders of the nation setring no example

  6. Sometimes its better to remain silent and be thought an idiot, than to speak and remove all doubt. “Jon”, this refers to you.

  7. Been reading the comments and I was wondering if some of u guys have common sense. The minister is wrong in every single way y some of u backing him like he’s rite?! He even admit he was wrong and some of u taking it to a different level no wonder they’re so many violence in Guyana the people don’t want better.

  8. This lady has no right to interrupt the minister while he was been interviewed.
She should be charged. This lady is rude & crude. Most recently she even disobeyed police orders at the Marriot’s opening. It was caught on camera and posted on YouTube.

  9. bloggers should be interviewing the free press by asking if what this woman did is right or wrong for her to do so even though she has a right to express herself..see if the free press dont get news like this they are out of business..they thrive on this..they condone these lawless actions so they cant condemn it..

  10. if u so concerned about women, thousands are kidnapped and made into wives.
Check the motherland and de Komgo.
Go there an mek yuself useful.

  11. Some women do not know the art of carrying themselves well with dignity.
Some are just dragged up instead of brought up.
Some are the most dignified and will gain the respect of men and the envy of women.
Some are just fit to work at a gas station and pump petrol.
It is this some who will drag us down the gutter with them.

  12. It’s about time we out diplomacy and political astuteness to rest and just be frank and say what we feel . Kudos to Dr.Berri . We ha all said worse to people . I hope she learnt her lesson.

  13. Who is really wrong here?
    Who approach Approach who here?
    Who is the aggressor here?
Did the Minister ask for her presence?
    Was she invited?
Dose the Minister know this woman?
Is she right to intimidate the Minister?
Does she has the right to provoke the Minister?
Is it okay to approach someone and make accusation?
Why didn’t she leave when the Minister asked her to leave him alone?
Is she his wife or his boss to ask him what he’s doing there?
Why did she question the Minister about other people marriage? etc. etc.
    etc. etc.
I hope the police who witness the offence is honest enough to charge her with disturbance and Provocation.

  14. PNC women are known for their lawless and obtrusiveness. The Minister was on an interview when the PNC Interloper invade the Minister interview. She is nothing more than a meddler, and a provoker who sets out to arouse anger.
Provocation is an offence, therefore the law breaker should be charged.
Even Christians are warned by the Bible Not to provoke one another, read Galatians.
PNC need to stop sending their women to do all those dirty works!
Look at how they destroy Vanessa Kissoon and others.

  15. We will be waiting (most likely in vain) for any form of censorship or disciplinary action against Bheri from the President and/or the PPP.

  16. Only in Guyana you could do that, shame on you health , minister you are not
Setting any example, may be that why you don’t have a wife, because you don’t threat women good.

  17. Anil Nandalall did worse than that and he is still star-boy in the PPP/criminals party.

However, this is just a miniscule example of the higher than mighty behavior of the current Govt functionaries. They feel they are better humans than the rest of the Guyanese public.

They all learn the “buse down” behavior from Jagdeo.
