[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Ministry of Health has launched a two – day Health Fair and Fun Day to commemorate World Autism Day which was observed on April 02, and World The Health Fair which is being held at the Square of the Revolution.

The aim is to raise public awareness on autism and other forms of disability and at the same time allow for access to specialised health services and promote healthy living lifestyles among Guyanese.

Persons had the opportunity to benefit from free Eye Testing, Dental Check Up, Voluntary Counselling and Testing, Blood Donation, Blood Pressure and Sugar Testing, Blood Grouping, Diabetic Foot Screening, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Education and Sensitisation on Saturday, April 05.

Health Day will be observed on April 07 under the theme “Protect Yourself from Vector-borne diseases”.

The Fun Day will be held on Sunday (April 06) from 10:00hrs-14:00hrs and is specially targeting autistic children. They, under the guidance of their teachers and parents will engage in face painting, dancing, and storytelling.
