[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Jaguars made no mistakes with the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, defeating the twin island republic by an innings and 60 on Monday, December 08 in round four of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Professional Cricket League at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

Resuming on 58-4 in their second innings and chasing 236 runs, the Red Force was bowled out for 234 during the second session of the day. Left-arm spinner, Veerasammy Permaul was in form with the ball for the Jaguars, finishing with 4-51.

Akeal Hosein of the Red Force batsmen played a tardy innings to reach 64 runs before being falling to Devendra Bishoo. Nicholas Pooran also made a decent 47 runs as the Red Force batsmen was unable to sustain a steady partnership.

Bishoo ended with figures of 3-82, Ronsford Beaton (2-24) and Raymond Reifer (1-25) to help Guyana put on a comprehensive performance.

The Jaguars remain on top of the points table with 57 points while Captain Vishual Singh was adjudged Man-of-the-Match.

The Regional four-day will be played on a home and away basis over 10 rounds. However, the tournament will resume on February 06.
