Businessman shot dead during robbery at Mango Landing

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Fifty – year – old Linden Mc Almont of Annandale, East Coast Demerara was shot dead earlier today, Monday, December 08 during a robbery at this business place at Mango Landing, Essequibo River in plain view of his wife, Maureen Mc Almont.

According to a police report, three men, one armed with a firearm and the others with knives, entered the couple’s shop at Mango Landing and held up the owner, Linden Mc Almont and his wife.

During the incident the man was shot to his body and his wife was robbed of her jewellery by the perpetrators who escaped.

Mc Almont was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mahdia Hospital. Investigations are in progress.
