SHANE Watson and Chris Gayle appear to have overcome their bad blood, posing for a photo together ahead of their Indian Premier League campaign with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Watson was heavily critical of Gayle in the aftermath of his infamous sideline interview during the Australian Big Bash League in January, labelling the giant West Indian’s behaviour “inappropriate” and even suggesting it was typical of him.
The West Indies star also made pointed comments that appeared to be in reference to former Sydney Thunder teammate Chris Rogers, as well as current Thunder all-rounder Shane Watson.
“The past cricketer who say I make myself look like ‘a chop’, the other who claim I was ‘no good’ to the youngsters while playing for the thunder, the next one who said he expect that sort of behaviour from Chris – Y’all can kiss my ‘Black Rass’,” Gayle said in the post.
However, the pair are now teammates and bumped into each other during the Pakistan Super League in the United Arab Emirates, where Watson is playing for Islamabad United.
Gayle jokingly suggested he had moved on from the fallout from the incident. The pair still has a few months to get acquainted, with the IPL kicking off on April 9. (Fox Sport)
