[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 45 – year – old father of two has ended his life by suicide on the Essequibo Coast. According to reports, the Mechanic, Indarjeet known as ‘Buckoo’ drank a quantity of poisonous substance believed to be gramoxone last Friday night while in a drunken state.
He was subsequently rushed to the Suddie Hospital and admitted but succumbed on Tuesday, November 18 after battling for his life for some four days.
Indarjeet is said to have been experiencing domestic problems and would consume alcohol on a regular basis resulting in him being abusive to his wife.
On the day in question, residents recall seeing the man in a sober state while he worked in his kitchen garden and later when he left home to go buy groceries for his family.
He returned home an intoxicated man early in the night and began to abuse his wife. A neighbor recalled him calling out while drinking the poisonous substance at around 21:00 hours.
