Demerara Bank hosts successful blood drive

[www.inewsguyana.com] – As part of its plan to give back to the community, Demerara Bank Limited today, Friday, September 19, held a blood drive at its Camp Street Branch in Georgetown.

Loan officer, Puran Mathura told iNews that a number of additional activities have been planned to celebrate the bank’s financial year, which will come to an end on September 30.

“Our aim is to gather as much units of blood as we can to assist the blood bank in their need. We’re doing this as part of our exercise as giving back to our community, to our customers as well.”

The response has been encouraging from customers for the bank’s blood drive and as such the bank will be opened until 17:00h today to facilitate persons who are interested in donating blood.

The Bank’s staff from other branches will also be donating blood this afternoon.
