[www.inewsguyana.com]Cycling action will invade the inner ring of the National Park this Saturday with the Inaugural C. Doekie and Sons Contracting Service, B&R Investment of Soesdyke 11 Race Program.

Organized by the National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohamed, the event will feature some of the top riders in the district vying for top honors when the flag drops at 09:00.

The feature event is expected to be the School Boys & Invitation race which carries a distance of 35 Lap and eight prime prizes for the riders.

Other races on the day’s cards include a battle in the 12 to 14 years Boys and Girls which will go over three laps in park while the BMX boys open is expected to feature the same distance among the participants.

The 12-14 BMX category is also expected to be a fire cracker with several of the country’s top pedalists expected over the five lap distance with the 9-12 bearing the same distance while the 6-9 category will only go over two laps.

Races are also planned for the stalwarts in the sport with the Veteran category with both the under 50 and over 50 years going the distance of three laps while the over 60 riders will go over two laps.

There will also be a special class for the mountain bikers who will go over five laps while the juniors will have their 10 lap event.

The event will be the Inaugural Program for the sponsor of a Teach Them Young Competition and winners will be presented with their spoils by the company’s representative.
