[www.inewsguyana.com] – Chase Academy is the new champions of the Milo Under-20 School football tournament that concluded on Tuesday evening at the Ministry of Education ground.

Chase Academy defeated Dolphin Secondary School 2-1 to win the title for the first time.

It was a full blown attack by Chase, as the continually put pressure on the defensive line of Dolphin before Isaiah Reddy registered the first goal of the game with an easy tap in, in the 15th minute of the game to give, Chase a one goal advantage going into the half.

Dolphin’s lackluster approach to the game became even more glaring when Amil Cosbert found himself in no man’s land, registering an own goal in the 70th minute to give Chase a commanding 2-0 lead.

However, Dolphin salvaged some pride with a goal in the 85th minute from Aleim Murray. Meanwhile in the third place playoff, Lodge Secondary prevailed 2-1 over Morgan Learning Centre (MLC).

Kevin Boters struck in the 15th minute for Lodge while Vermont Munroe equalized in the 35th minute. Ryan Hackett notched the winning goal for Lodge in the 57th minute.

The win for Chase means that the Academy will receive $500,000 for a school project of their choosing.
