The body of a male East Indian was on Friday fished out of the Canal No one trench.
Based on information reaching this publication the man who is currently unidentified was found sometime around 11:00h by a resident who reportedly called 911 and made the report.
He was clad in an orange T-shirt, three quarter cream cargo pants and black hat and was floating face down in the middle of the trench which runs from east to west.
The police arrived shortly after and removed the body which reportedly bore no marks of violence.
The man’s body was escorted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where it was pronounced dead on arrival.
It is presently at the Ezekiel funeral home awaiting identification and a postmortem examination.
